On this date, two legends made their collegiate debuts. In 1966, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (then Lew Alcindor) scored the most points ever in a varsity debut. And 10 years earlier, Wilt Chamberlain had 52 points with a varsity-debut record 31 rebounds for Kansas.
